Interviewee: John Buckley

Position: Academic Adviser

John Buckley is an academic adviser for the Haslam School of Business. He is my academic adviser, and he prides himself on being personable, energetic, and kind. I was able to relate to him because he was a transfer student, like me, and he was the first staff member I met at UTK.

Through the interview process I learned three key aspects to be a successful transfer student:

• Be yourself
• Get involved in as many things as possible
• Have fun

Although simple, I have stuck by these three things my first semester at UTK.
